Soccer Skills

Soccer Skills

Soccer Skills

  Participants learn the basics of soccer through skill development drills and practice

games. Coaches teach foundational technical skills: passing and receiving the ball, dribbling, shooting, throw-ins; as well as the rules and etiquette of the game. Athletes will be grouped with other children of similar age/skills for scrimmage games at the end of each hour. This session is designed for beginners - no previous experience or knowledge of the game needed!

 

Participants who come with previous soccer experience will be grouped with athletes of comparable skills for a more intermediate or advanced coaching experience to hone technical skills and learn more advanced team strategies.

  Participants learn the basics of basketball through skill development drills and practice

games. Coaches teach foundational technical skills: dribbling, passing, shooting; as well as the rules and etiquette of the game. Athletes will be grouped with other children of similar age/skills for scrimmage games at the end of each hour. This session is designed for beginners - no previous experience or knowledge of the game needed!

 

Participants who come with previous soccer experience will be grouped with athletes of comparable skills for a more intermediate or advanced coaching experience to hone technical skills and learn more advanced team strategies. 

Rugby

Volleyball

  Participants learn the basics of rugby through skill development drills and practice games. Coaches teach foundational technical skills such as running with the ball, passing, catching, tackling technique (age-appropriate and non-contact or controlled contact as applicable), and spatial awareness, as well as the basic rules and etiquette of the game.


Athletes will be grouped with other children of similar age and skill level for small-sided games and activities at the end of each hour. This session is designed for beginners — no previous experience or knowledge of rugby is required.

Participants who come with previous rugby experience will be grouped with athletes of comparable skills for a more intermediate or advanced coaching experience, with a focus on refining technical skills, understanding game flow, and learning more advanced team strategies.

Volleyball

  Participants learn the basics of volleyball through skill development drills and practice games. Coaches teach foundational technical skills such as passing (bumping), setting, serving, hitting, and court positioning, as well as the basic rules and etiquette of the game.


Athletes will be grouped with other children of similar age and skill level for small-sided games and modified scrimmages at the end of each hour. This session is designed for beginners — no previous experience or knowledge of volleyball is required.


Participants who come with previous volleyball experience will be grouped with athletes of comparable skills for a more intermediate or advanced coaching experience, with a focus on refining technical skills, improving consistency, and learning more advanced team concepts and strategies.

Private and Semi-Private Coaching

  Athletic skills sessions are designed to introduce children and youth to movement in a fun, inclusive, and supportive way. Rather than focusing on a single sport, participants explore a variety of sports and games while developing transferable athletic skills that support success across all sports—and in outdoor play and daily life more broadly.


Coaches focus on foundational skills such as running, jumping, balance, coordination, agility, throwing, catching, kicking, and spatial awareness, along with teamwork, communication, and confidence. Sessions may include elements from sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, and cooperative games.


Activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and adaptable for different ability levels. Athletes are encouraged to try new movements, learn at their own pace, and celebrate effort and improvement in a supportive, body-positive environment where effort, curiosity, and improvement are celebrated.

Athletic Skills sessions are not about creating elite athletes. They are about creating access—to movement, to nature, to peers, and to healthy, active lives. By investing in foundational athletic ability, we support dignity, confidence, and lifelong participation in physical activity.  
 

This session is ideal for beginners, multi-sport athletes, or children who want to build confidence before joining a specific sport. No previous experience is required — just a willingness to move, play, and have fun!

Private and Semi-Private Coaching

Private and Semi-Private Coaching

  Private and Semi-Private Coaching sessions offer personalized, athlete-centered support for children and youth who want to build skills, confidence, and comfort in sport at their own pace.


These sessions are tailored to each athlete’s goals and needs — whether that means developing foundational movement skills, learning the basics of a specific sport, improving technique, or building confidence before joining a team or league. Coaches work closely with athletes to create a supportive, encouraging environment where learning feels safe, predictable, and achievable.


Private sessions provide one-on-one coaching, while semi-private sessions allow small groups (2–5 athletes) to train together with individualized attention. Athletes may work on skills such as coordination, balance, agility, strength, sport-specific techniques, and game understanding, depending on their interests and experience.


This option is ideal for athletes booking a series of sessions in the weeks leading up to school or community team tryouts, as well as for pre-season conditioning to help them arrive on the court or field feeling prepared, confident, and ready to play.


Private and semi-private coaching can also be an excellent fit for children who thrive in smaller group environments or benefit from additional structure, repetition, or personalized pacing. We welcome athletes with a wide range of learning styles and support needs, including neurodivergent athletes, those with developmental differences, or invisible disabilities. Sessions are designed to be flexible, respectful, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on building confidence and enjoyment in movement.


Our current roster of private coaches includes specialists in rugby, soccer, baseball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and dry-land conditioning for all sports, allowing athletes to receive sport-specific guidance alongside well-rounded athletic development.


No matter the starting point, sessions are positive, body-affirming, and confidence-building — with a focus on effort, progress, and having fun.
